But who is Winnie-the-Pooh?

February 29, 2008

Wondering about meaningless and useless things can be pretty entertaining sometimes… yesterday I had a short conversation about the name: Winnie-the-Pooh? Where does it come from? Who names someone’s teddybear after human defecation? And what the hell is that “h” on the end anyways? Is this like an Aristocrat snobby prick bear originally labeled as Winnard Poohstein? Or Winford Poohenistgutberger? Even wikipedia had no clear answer… this might be the worst Punk’d-ness of all time… the Milne guys must be laughing their asses off when they realise everyone loves the ShitBear…

life is hard for those who have shit in their name…

Iron man is still…

February 29, 2008

…like the coolest thing coming this year. Although the previously released trailers were filled with more awesome than this one, we have some new material from the movie. Robert Downey Jr’s comments are still made of fun, so this’ll be a must see from the years superhero comic book adaption line-up. Checkthis:

Sweeney Sweetie… or Sour Todd?

February 29, 2008

Yesterday I had the chance to check out how the Fleet street’s Demon Barber slices throats and fills the theater with blood. I was really waiting for this, and I got really excited about the movie, but I think I had my expectations way too high. Although Johnny Depp is playing like most America saver action heroe, like Bruce Willis and Arnold the Governator by wearing the same face all the time, he still deserved the Golden Globe for best actor, and the Oscar should be also sitting on his shelf…

But the movie is like the grocery on the streets corner… it has some apples, berries, and all what’s sweet and nice, and also some sour shit which give a flavour to what you cook… but if you don’t have the taste for sour stuff you’ll probably dislike the them all… Anyways, with all it’s ups and all it’s downs, I liked the movie, but I didn’t love it. The Art is fantastic, the blood is funny, could be “Kill Turpin” instead and we have another Tarantino masterpiece… the humor is very unique at some times (because of the raining blood, and the falling crashtest dummies). Basicly, 3 characters from the movie take all the highlight… Depp, Helena and Borat simply sweep everyone away, including Alan Rickman (who is playing well, but that’s only coming out from his smallest finger… it’s rutine).

And we have the flaws… the songs can get really annoying at times… when singing the same line for about the 20th time is extremely frustrating and feels like having a dogs cunt pushed into your face… hearing “I feeeeel youuuuu” over and over again is the earfuck of the century. Because of the long songs the pace can be dead slow and the movie might get boring for a few people.

And then there is the major plot twist in the end which is like a teenagers first ejaculation… it feels good, but it won’t last for long, just comes and goes… it’s not detailed enough it just “Happens”.

Anyways, I have the feeling that I’ll need to get a straight razor on my own… out of ten, this is a seven for me.

sweeney is waiting hahaha

R.E.M.’s Losing my Religion video Director kicks back again!

February 28, 2008

Tarsem Singh is probably known for the great R.E.M. video, although he also made the exclusively stupid and weird The Cell featuring big ass JayLow… anyways, he is back again, with some interesting material. After watching the Trailer for “The Fall”, I kind of got excited about it. I don’t know how the story will work, but the art and the visuals are fantastic! If you are into freaky looking clothes, and fairytale environment, you should give the trailer a try.

Stickleg action – played soccer again

February 28, 2008

I’m a huge fan of soccer although it’s basicly just 22 guys running around for one ball… But I love the feeling of scoring, the view when you make someone sit into the swing, and the noise of the bystander’s clapping. I haven’t played it for like half a year now, and yesterday I was running around with that huge gap in my legs. But lucky me, everyone was playing like that. Sticklegged action as we say… It was fun, but I had to realize that some improvement plans have to be made if I want to get back in shape.

- I should quit smoking – like hell I will???
- I should go out sometimes and do jogging – Time for that??? No…
- I need to practice more – the more I play, the better I get, no further things needed.
- I should quit smoking - hahaha…

Smart movie is actually Idiot

February 28, 2008

I love Steve Carell (And I usually start my posts with I like or I hate or… I have to admit… I love/hate). Anyways, we’ll have a new movie from him, which is kinda like the Johnny English thing that was years ago, but I personally think this one will be a bit better then the MrBean Superagent stuff… at least I don’t have to womit when I look at Steve’s face… uhh MrBean is funny, but THE LOOKS!!!!

Okidokii, so check the new trailer. A bit weak, but some conversation really got my attention. I gotta check this when it comes out!

Anne Hathaway is pretty… where is Carell?

Obtained: The Bourne Ultimatum

February 28, 2008

It’s here, finally I have it… and now the collection is finalized! All the three Bourne movies are sitting on my shelf, and they look really awesome! I really love the series and beside the Star Wars Prequel trilogy, this is also one of those few movies that get more awesome with the newer episodes… unlike other trilogies where we have terrible follow ups, and money-pulled-out-of-the-pocket feeling… However, The Oceans trilogy is a different thing, because watching the first episode gave that really cool feeling, then the second one actually felt like having a dog shaving your balls, but the third iteration was full of the first overwhelmed coolness… but back to Bourne, the third episode is still on track… you just sit on rollercoster in the beginning, and have lot’s of sweet candy thrown into your mouth while riding… which is cool btw. The movie just can’t stop being cool. Bourne is said to be a killing machine, but instead his reaching to the hights of Chuck Norris regarding awesomeness (but of course Chuck would stab Matt Damon with his pubic hair…). I was also really happy that they didn’t spam us with a bunch of romantic stuff… there is “something” there with Julia Stiles, who is pretty btw, but basicly no kiss, no sweet words… it’s just tension.

Anyways, there are also some flaws with the movie. If it weren’t for Wikipedia, I would have NO idea how and why did David Webb become Jason Bourne. In the movie he is just tortured randomly, then shots a guy as a last effort… why? Why Why? No one knows… it’s not detailed… but anyways, the movie is great, and a must see. The Whole series is a must own for all who like CIA and Spy movies, and in the same time, they like to see how corrupt the Spy-guys are.

Bourne is watching you!!! hahaha

Pop vs Culture

February 26, 2008

I just did an interesting test on Google. Okay it’s not really a test ‘cos it mainly took like 0,21 seconds to summon the outcome of this diffcult and extremely useless observation. I searched for the word “Franz Ferdinand” and checked if there was anything related to the World War One Celebrity… but unfortunately no… I also searched for the word with a “wikipedia” extension since they offer a huge amount of info on like everything (even on Chucks’ beard, and how Giraffes’ hairstyle effects the global wombat-producing industry…). This Time we had a “winner”. Although the unsurprisingly beloved band got the first site, the second one listed was about the historical Franzy.

Some people say that culture is getting more and more stupid… that’s a fact. And internet has a great job in doing this… That’s not correct. Okay, so… Franz Ferdinand as a band is all over the net, and the Historical character is like “nowhere”. But let me put it this way… If you are clever enough, you open up a book, or know how to search for the guy, but anyways, most schools teach this way before you whipe you’re mind with Internet… you should know who he was without doing any “googleing”. And anyways, the Band is cool, it’s more likely that I’m gonna search for them… which is a sad fact because I’m looking for Pop, and not Culture…

Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and the gang are the greatest

February 26, 2008

If you’ve seen the “I’m f**ing Matt Damon” video just a while ago” you probably know how awesome and funny the Jason Bourne guy is. The videos’ helpless victim, Jimmy Kimmel got his very own revenge on his girlfriend, in a very-very ordinary way… and I have to admit, it’s pretty awesome to have random celebrities singing a song about f**ing Ben Affleck! It’s like being on drugs, you just watch the stuff and say: What the hell????

No Country for Old Oscar

February 25, 2008

There we go, ‘08 had it’s Oscar award ceremony, we have the winners, and tears and joy, and endless thankyouformyparents. Let me state right now that I never really care about the Oscars, most of the movies I like never even get to ring the doorbell of the small golden statue. Where was 300 and Prestige last year? They did deserve at least one award…

Okay, so let’s see what we had this year (without all the awards which don’t really matter to me)

Best Motion Picture is No Country for Old man, but basicly the whole ceremony focused on the Coen brothers’ masterpiece. I’m interested in Javier Bardems’ act, he also got the award for Best Supporting Role.

What I’m frustrated about is Johnny Depp… I love Sweeney Todd, and I would’ve given him the Oscar even without seeing the thing. But only those get the award who act überdramatic and make people hate and love them in the same time…

Best Actress is Marion Cottillard, which is acceptable for me but I expected Ellen Page to take the fame home.

Anyways, some happiness for my tears: Sweeney Todd took award away for it’s Art, and Bourne Ultimatum received 3 (random Effect related things, but the effects do kick ass in the movie.)

In the end, this was the 80th Oscar awards ceremony… not much happened, but there we had it. Hope to see good movies this year too.

Oh, and one thing… Wii was there (wonder how much it cost for Nintendo to have this on air live)
