Like the 6237th Guitar Hero wishlist but whatever…

February 20, 2008

Okay, I’ve read quite a lot of wishlists around the web regarding the next Guitar Hero tracklist, so just to show my respect to the series, here is my 10 songs I would love to have in the next guitar hero… to be honest I just scrolled around my Winamp tracklist and picked some songs I love and feature guitarplay. There should be about like 7438 songs in Guitar hero if it were done according to my real Wishlist… so here we go now:

Rage – War of Worlds
Sex Pistols – God Save the Queen
Bloc Party – Banquet
Jimi Hendrix – Purple Haze
ACDC – Thunderstruck
Foo Fighters – Learn to Fly
Green Day – St Jimmy
Muse – Muscle Museum
Pixies – Where is my Mind
Deftones – Be Quiet and Drive

David “microphoneeater” Grohl and his band, Foo Fighters

Manga is the painted Hollywood

February 20, 2008

Many people think I’m crazy for watching japanese animated stuff as a 21 year old. I have no Idea what the hell they are actually talking about: “It’s like made for kids… like for mad and sick japanese kids, you know they are like the craziest culture on earth, you do right?” – Yes, in fact I’ve used to go to University studying Japanese Culture and language, but yeah, probably those are right who only know that Japanese speak Chinese… yeah, right, now give me a break.

First of all, Japanese people are weird for any European eye, but the same applies to us. Japanese think WE are crazy people… and they are right, end of question, now we can put the cultural differences behind…

Manga (and Anime, because the two are NOT the same…) is another thing tho’. Most people don’t understand, that drawing or painting something does not mean it’s made FOR kids. Take the Mona Lisa for example… would any 5 year old find that astonishing? What needs to be understood is that there can be stories for adults, which are drawn, and have extremely ADULTy content.

Now… I’m not into seeing a big eyed japanese schoolgirl running around in minimini skirts summoning a bunch of Pantyshots… but some people do, and therefor it has a right to be there… it’s “art”. Imagine The Birth of Venus painting. It’s just a painting, and it has some sort of “erotic” feeling in it. And most people digg that stuff saying that it’s “art”. Then I say Cartoon characters with pantyshot are also some sort of… art. Hentai on the other hand is sick indeed and all people who watch hentai probably lack imagination or were attacked by huge Peniscarebears when they were young.

Anyways, the proof that Japanese Animation is one of the best thing around the globe is Death Note. It has a deep storyline, and it’s full of FightClub/Prestige like plot twists. It hits you in the head, and won’t let you go. Everyone who loves movies that makes them think about “things” will surely enjoy this. Problem is that the irritating Dub usually kills the mood… I’m watching the series now for the 4th time, and it still keeps me going (but only with the original Japanese dub, that is always fantastic, now those guys really know how to talk)

The 5 best things about Internet

February 20, 2008

I hear a lot of complaints regarding internet, computers and mobile technology… people say the end is near because we depend too much on our technologies, and we stop to possess our computers, because basicly, they own us by now!

I don’t really care, in fact, I feel lucky that internet exists, With all it’s ups and downs, with all the trolls and retards who should never get an account for internet, because of their IQ-consuming activities. Let’s just have here the 5 best things about internet, without being in importance order. (I wanted 10, but there isn’t like 10 things…)

Google
Youtube
Wikipedia
Instant Messenging/Forums

Downloadable Content (Only Legal stuff! Yeah… just legal!)
+ All the Trolls, nerds, retards whose posts and comments can’t be ignored, and who give us the pleasure of laughter with all the shit that comes out of their brains, transmitted by their fingers right into a digital form of their own poo…

Do not feed the troll

Translating movie titles is the worst thing ever

February 20, 2008

Since Hungary is not a native-english speaking country, we are blessed with the greatest translations on earth… Some things can be translated, that’s okay, other countries are doing the same… like we have Star Wars… Krieg der Sterne… Csillagok háborúja. It means almost the same. In some cases however, you just can’t translate it in any possible way. Take The Prestige for example… The Hungarian edition sounds like: “The Perfect Trick”, which does not contain any coolness like the original title did…

And now we have Jumper… will be probably an awesome movie, and basicly I’m sitting on pins till it reaches our theaters. Now… I hate hungarian dubs… and I also hate how we translate the titles. Please hold on tight, this is going way down the bottom: Jumpers’ hungarian title is: Hyper Wanderer… Dear sweet god, what have we done? Plese don’t punish us with such miserable pain!

Lucky for us, they didn’t gave Cloverfield another title… it’s just cloverfield… imagine if they would actually translate this. It’s a movie about a godzilla like creature totally owning NewYork while a bunch of teens run around screeming… so the title should be… about clovers… and fields… and nature… and wow. What’s in cinemas? – I dunno, this thing about clovers and fields… wanna see that? – What’s it about? – About… clovers… and… fields… like… romantic stuff… dunno, wanna see that? – No! Let’s check Hyper Wanderer!
